I am developing a project using: Java, Spring boot(actually the project is generated by Jhipster), I used Javers to audit the changes from the entity, but when I use repository to save an entity, I got the problem as below each restart app.

What i found was: In org.javers.core.metamodel.type.ClassType#isInstance when this.baseJavaClass.isAssignableFrom(cdo.getClass()); check is done the two class is the same expect the class loader and because of that it will return false.

We could only reproduce the issue if:

  • There was a javers audit entry in the JPA database already
  • Starting spring application
  • Using javers to query with
            QueryBuilder
                .anyDomainObject()
                .build()
        );
  • Trying to save an entity

With the fix mentioned above the problem was solved. Both Class was loaded with the same class loader and the comparison returned with the expected true value.
