Lightrun Secures $70M Series B
Apr 28, 2025
NEW YORK, United States, 28 April, 2025 – Lightrun, the leader in Developer Observability, announced today the successful close of its $70M Series B funding round. The round was led by Accel and Insight Partners, with participation from Citi, Glilot Capital, GTM Capital, and Sorenson Capital, and brings Lightrun’s total capital raised to $110M. This investment marks a pivotal moment in Lightrun’s journey, cementing its position as the category leader in Developer Observability and accelerating its enterprise expansion — particularly within the financial sector, including some of the world’s largest F10 giants and banks.
Enterprises are increasingly prioritizing efficiency and resilience — especially as software complexity grows and reliability becomes mission-critical. Lightrun’s AI-powered Autonomous Remediation Platform is emerging as the go-to solution for fully automated code fixes, streamlining the remediation process from ticket to resolution. By shifting from reactive observability to proactive, real-time remediation, Lightrun enables engineering teams to detect, diagnose, and resolve runtime issues in minutes instead of days. In the GenAI era, where software delivery is accelerating, this evolution is critical, placing operational reliability front and center for CIOs once code reaches production. While automation has advanced areas like code generation, QA, and testing, there is a growing gap in production resilience. Lightrun bridges this gap with autonomous, AI-driven remediation that keeps modern software systems resilient, reliable, and always available.
As enterprises increasingly recognize the value of debugging in production, Lightrun gained significant momentum in 2024:
- Revenue grew 4.5× year over year
- The team doubled in size, scaling to support growing global demand
- Fortune 500 customers now include ADP, AT&T, Citi, ICE, Inditex, Microsoft, Priceline, Salesforce, and SAP—alongside several F10 giants powering some of the most mission-critical applications globally
Powering the Future of Developer Observability
Lightrun introduced the industry’s first AI-Powered Live Debugging and Remediation, marking a significant leap toward autonomous incident resolution.
With its Series B funding, Lightrun is spearheading the next wave of observability—moving beyond traditional monitoring to full-scale remediation. Lightrun’s Autonomous Debugger is set to redefine how developers, SREs, and engineering teams manage incidents, allowing organizations to remediate issues in real time before they escalate. This advancement represents a crucial shift from traditional post-mortem observability to proactive and autonomous problem resolution.
Strengthening Resilience in Financial Services and Beyond
As enterprises scale and innovate faster than ever, leading organizations are proactively investing in real-time remediation and enterprise-grade resilience to stay ahead of this challenge. Lightrun empowers engineering teams to detect, diagnose, and resolve issues before they impact users or the business. Operational resilience is essential for preserving customer trust, ensuring business continuity, and staying compliant in an increasingly regulated world.
Siris Singh, Global Head of Markets Strategic Investments at Citi, said: “The unique solutions that Lightrun is developing have the promise to dramatically impact how developers operate, and we’re excited to be a part of it. Our investment in Lightrun reflects this.”
Ilan Peleg, CEO of Lightrun, said: “In 2024, dramatic shifts in the SDLC — from the exponential acceleration of software delivery by AI Code Assistants to the rising importance of resiliency — have made the SDLC increasingly vulnerable. Lightrun bridges this gap, ensuring that once code hits production, teams can move fast and stay reliable. As autonomous software development becomes reality, we see the next frontier in autonomous remediation — software that can fix itself autonomously”.
Andrei Brasoveanu, Partner at Accel, said: “In today’s AI-native software development landscape, where reliability is intrinsically linked to business performance, revenue growth, and competitive edge, real-time remediation has evolved into an imperative. Ilan, Leonid and the Lightrun team have already gained impressive traction, securing large enterprises as customers, and this momentum looks set to continue. Companies are not only increasingly comfortable with real-time remediation, but AI code generation is driving an accelerated need for Lightrun’s platform. We’re looking forward to partnering with the team on the journey ahead!”
Teddie Wardi, Managing Director at Insight Partners, said: “Lightrun can redefine software resilience with real-time, AI-driven remediation—an increasingly critical capability as software complexity grows. We’ve supported Lightrun from the early days because of the team’s deep understanding of developer workflows and their vision for autonomous remediation. As production incidents become more frequent and costly, Lightrun is delivering what enterprises need now: a proactive, scalable solution that keeps systems reliable and teams focused.”
