@OneFingerCodingWarrior I believe there was a bug a while ago where ClientEngine.DownloadMetadataAsync allowed duplicate infohashs to be added to the engine, which caused the second instance to never download.
Your suggestion to double check that is not happening is great!
first, torrent is good than magnet. Because torrent file has more meta data than magnet second, magnet need to download the torrent file then the downloading can start by using the downloaded torrent file. third, if you want to convert torrent to magnet link, be sure to stop the torrent task first. because it has the same info hash with the new magnet task(which could prevent the new magnet task from begin.) But, in a sum, i think you are going to the wrong direction.(Convert torrent to magnet task)
