[Feature Request] Switch Active Tab to previous active tab

Maybe I’m missing a settings variable in my user preferences file, but I cannot find it.

Later I found that it can be achieved by using Cuda-Ext (Activate previously active tab), but I have to add another HotKey, and it doesn’t always work, sometimes I have to press twice or more to get it work.

These animation might show the scenarios:

• The first one cycling normally
• Then the second animation cycles through tabs in recently used order like FireFox tab cycling options

Currently: Ctrl+Tab / Ctrl+Shift+Tab, too many keystrokes.

Expected: With only Ctrl+Tab switching between the last two active tabs would be faster than going back and forth cycling among all the other tabs (except mouse’s help or numbered tabs). Obviously as an optional feature.

Furthermore, if ctrl key is kept pressed while pressing again the tab key, it would continue cycling normally. Only if hotkeys assigned involves ctrl+tab, or at least two key combinations.

New patch adds api. ed.get_prop(prop_activation_time). Get it for all tabs — and easy get list of tab switch order. No need to use on_focus. Beta will be ready soon
