Prototype Kit site stopped deploying automatically

but no longer does, might be related to the change to main
but I think the issue may predate that slightly

I dont think its documented at the moment, supposed to be on merge to
main
- otherwise end users would see lots of releases that are only changes to the site, and don’t really affect them. I think our end goal is to separate the docs: #857
