When I switch to nvidia the screen resolution change.

See original GitHub issue

I am running Manjaro i3 on my laptop. optimus-manager works as it should, with a small problem, it changes the resolution of the screen. My native resolution is 1366x768, but when I switch to nvidia, it changes to 1024x768, and when I switch back to intel, the resolution is normal.

I realized that it creates another output VGA-0, and fixed it by including “xrandr --output VGA-0 --off” in “/etc/optimus-manager/xsetup-nvidia.sh”. But I would like to know if there is a way to completely avoid creating of this additional output.

`xrandr -q

Same issue on Dell XPS L502x laptop (GeForce GT 540M, Arch with bspwm). @fpaskali solution fixed my issue too. Thanks a lot.

i have the same issue on the asus n53jf laptop (GeForce GT 425M) though the solution provided here it got fixed but when i boot my mouse cursor is a little off-centered where the main output would show up without the solution but that isn’t that bad i can live with it

Same issue on the asus k45vd laptop (GeForce GT 610M). @fpaskali solution fixed my problem and I used xdotool to move the mouse cursor to the center of the screen at startup.

xdotool mousemove 683 384

(The coordinates depend on your screen resolution. My screen resolution is 1366x768, so the coordinates are 683,384)
