See original GitHub issueI tried multiple times but every time, it terminates silently like this:

It’s very possibly a segfault. Try installing
pytest-faulthandlerand you should get a traceback which might be marginally informative.There is a
~/.astropy/astropy.cfgbut I don’t remember ever touching it and all the options in it are commented (as per default).
