.AddTimers() accepts TimeOptions with no options
See original GitHub issueIWebJobsBuilder
extension method .AddTimers(Action<TimerOptions>)
accepts a configure argument of Action<TimerOptions>
, but there’s nothing that can be configured using TimerOptions
.
Repro steps
Create a simple WebJob.
hostBuilder.ConfigureWebJobs(builder =>
{
builder.AddAzureStorageCoreServices();
builder.AddTimers(options => options.???); // unusable
});
Expected behavior
- Options to provide what’s possible (properties, methods).
- If those are extension methods on
TimerOptions
that are missing, they should be in the same namespace as the.AddTimers()
method (Microsoft.Azure.WebJobs
).

Thanks @paulbatum. The least that could be done is an XMLDoc comment to provide an idea. Or a deprecation note until it’s removed.
