Settings aren't attracted?

See original GitHub issue

Hello,

Please forgive my noobish question. The manual states editing the settings.py file, however that file seems to be very different, there is a _settings_base.py though that contains all the settings described.

However, it seems I don’t understand how to change the settings. I change it in the Python37-32\Scripts\market-maker directory. However it seems it doesn’t get attracted.

This is everything I get:

`C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37-32\Scripts>marketmaker 2019-08-10 14:15:07,045 - INFO - market_maker - BitMEX Market Maker Version: v1.1

2019-08-10 14:15:07,045 - INFO - ws_thread - Connecting to wss://testnet.bitmex.com/realtime?subscribe=quote:XBTUSD,trade:XBTUSD,instrument,order:XBTUSD,execution:XBTUSD,margin,position 2019-08-10 14:15:07,047 - INFO - ws_thread - Authenticating with API Key. 2019-08-10 14:15:07,051 - INFO - ws_thread - Started thread 2019-08-10 14:15:07,267 - ERROR - ws_thread - API Key incorrect, please check and restart. 2019-08-10 14:15:07,302 - ERROR - _logging - error from callback <bound method BitMEXWebsocket.__on_error of <market_maker.ws.ws_thread.BitMEXWebsocket object at 0x036A7690>>: __on_error() missing 1 required positional argument: ‘error’ 2019-08-10 14:15:07,303 - INFO - ws_thread - Websocket Closed 2019-08-10 14:15:08,052 - ERROR - ws_thread - Couldn’t connect to WS! Exiting.`

I changed the URL to testnet and set up the API, saved _settings_base.py but no change when running.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

You might be looking in the wrong directory. @Onkovat

Can you find a settings.py file that is located in C:\Users\your.user directory? If so, that is where you need to set your API key and URL to testnet

Super Sanjingi! I think we both initially got started on trying to find a replacement for Websocket-client-0.56 because we were seeing following error (below). But since I reinstalled Websocket-client-0.56 yesterday I have not again experience this error. Fingers crossed!

ERROR - _logging - error from callback <bound method BitMEXWebsocket.__on_error of <market_maker.ws.ws_thread.BitMEXWebsocket object at 0x000001425DF7A400>>: __on_error() missing 1 required positional argument: ‘error’
