Brave crashes consistently when opening "About Brave"

Description

For about 1 month Brave has been crashing repeatedly in seemingly random situations. One way to consistently cause the crash is to open the About Brave section. See the GIF below for more clarity.

Go to the top bar, select Brave and About Brave

Miscellaneous Information:

I have cleaned up my installation with brew uninstall --zap brave-browser and reinstalled it with brew install brave-browser. The described problem still occurs.

PS: You may or may not also have to do those additional steps:

Move the ~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default folder temporary to another location
- this folder contains all your settings, bookmarks, extensions, …
Delete ~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser
Install/ reinstall Brave and open it
Move your saved Default folder back in to the Brave-Browser folder

I have the exact same issue on mac os: it crashes randomly, and will always crash if I go on the “About Brave” page

Edit: nightly works fine 👍

Edit 2: actually the nightly crashes too, just less often
