Add guide for project planning
See original GitHub issueWe’ve made a lot of changes to our process for how we plan out projects and how we run individual projects in a planning cycle. This issue is to document our setup, similar to how we did endgame, under docs/guides/projects.md
. The goal should be to document:
- How are projects proposed?
- How are projects prioritized?
- How do we decide what projects go into a single cycle?
- How do we allocate resources across projects?
- How do we run a project?
- What processes or tools do we use for planning, and how? (GitHub projects)
- What meetings are scheduled, and with whom
- What scheduled meetings should occur through a project, and what purpose do they serve
- How do we complete a project?
- What is a typical project lifecycle over a planning period?
- Is there a project backlog? If so, where does it live? Who can contribute to it?
- How should work outside of a project be treated?
- External request
- Bug report related to project work
- Bug report related to release
- etc.
