Layouts Feature

🧱 Problem Statement / Justification

I’m a bad designer, that’s why I love component libraries, but no one makes prepared navbars and sidebars. So I’ve had to stick to the stern and strict ant Design. Chakra looks … don’t know what word to use but It’s beautiful.

A sidebar and navbar component will be awesome

I think this is a cool idea. But one thing I really like as a user of Chakra, is how minimalist the set of primitive components are. I like that once I have learnt Box, I am pretty much set.

Perhaps instead of adding a Layout component, we can have an “Examples” section where all of these “compound” features are shown, but built from composing the existing components. Similar to the Tailwind components. Thoughts?

I am thinking of converting a bunch of higher order Tailwind components into Chakra. You know, like Hero, Pricing, Team etc. similar to TailwindUI (I am not using TailwindUI though because it is a paid product).

Anyone else doing this?
