[TypeScript] Generated .d.ts files are way too big

If you look at the generated type definitions for v1 you will notice a lot of components being typed as the following (notice the horizontal scrollbar):

This is happening because TypeScript is inlining types very aggresively.

I’ve done a test locally getting rid of all of these instances and replacing the type definitions like the above with:

Most of them I’ve done it by running the following regex find and replace with vscode and recompiling the whole library. The rest have been manual changes.

Then I grabbed the generated type definitions and dumped them into my Next.js & Chakra project

Adding the React.FC was just a way I found were TS wouldn’t inline the type in the generated .d.ts

Yep, Im confident to finish that by the end of the week, many changes aren’t pushed yet so I’m further than currently visible there.

React.FC has it’s own issues as described here, however, of the concerns there, I think only the implicit definition of children is an issue for chakra. Will see how to get around that.
