.msi file gone and not reparable
See original GitHub issueThere’s no ChocolateyGUI.msi in C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\lib\ChocolateyGUI\tools
anymore. Instead, a .ignore
was appended to the end, the problem with this is that my .msi in C:\WINDOWS\Installer\
is missing and I don’t know how to repair it, when I run FixMissingMSI, I get this error:

@brian6932, thank you, I have already fixed my ChocolateyGUI using this method earlier in April, just forgot to describe the steps here.
@ALERTua Update: I was cleaning up my packages, so I decided to take a crack at it again, and I managed to fix it.
choco install chocolateygui --version=0.17.3
C:\Program Files (x86)\Chocolatey GUI
andC:\ProgramData\chocolatey\lib\ChocolateyGUI
C:\ProgramData\chocolatey\lib-bad\ChocolateyGUI
as a path, to delete the folderchoco install chocolateygui --version=0.17.3 --force
, and now you should be able toupgrade
anduninstall
again.
