@vincentsarago rio-edit-info isn’t quite the right channel for stats. Maybe a rio-stats command, with options to print statistics or save statistics to the dataset (sort of like rio-overview). It would be most efficient to do this in the cogeo program, you could accumulate statistics while copying data and avoid extra reads.
Not forwarding statistics makes sense to me.
Is there an option to (re-)generate statistics? If not, that would also be a good addition. We’ve been recommended that people include stats with sensor sources so that they can be previewed more effectively.
