Alive Integration
See original GitHub issueIt would be tremendously useful if compiler explorer had a mode where, given a C/C++ function returning bool
, it used clang+Alive to try to prove that it always returns true
(or false
).
As an enhancement, it could nudge the user to file a bug if Alive was able to prove the function away but LLVM couldn’t.

but actually alive-exec is too limited to be worthwhile making available like this – it’s a proof of concept that Nuno hacked up to show me how to do some stuff. but one of my people is working on a new tool that is similar and not so limited, we’ll put that online at some point I hope
