Yes, I just tried with this commit and it fixes the problem of contact appearing both in “contact requests” and in “Pending contacts”.

It seems there is still one minor issue regarding contacts:

person A add person B
person B accepts the contact request
person A correctly see person B in “Ungrouped”
person B may still see person A in “Pending contacts”. In that case, person B just need to add person A also and it will automatically go to “Ungrouped” contacts.

Anyway, I think we can mark this issue as closed.

Hello,

I just installed conversejs 4.0.0 and I have almost the same problem : someone asked me as a contact (through another jabber client), I clicked “accept” contact and we started to chat. Now this contact appears as “pending contact”.

Let me know if you need more information.
