Description

Porting app to maui and we need to implement push notification - all the videos and articles out there a quite outdated.

to keep it simply as soon as I had a reference to Xamarin.GooglePlayServices.Base my solution no longer build

Steps to Reproduce

Create a Maui app .net 7 or 8
Add a nuget package reference to Xamarin.GooglePlayServices.Base
build and you will see

@gabsamples6 No, sorry I have no idea what dagger is used for… I am using azure notifications hub and SignalR while the app is connected but I guess this shouldn’t really make a big diffreence as all those hubs just connect to firebase and apples apns servers and you still need to fetch your device tokens to register them with your provider. It works fine now, but I had some trouble setting it up too. So feel free to reach out, maybe I can help if there are any issues.
