After days of working, app crashes on release when progaurd is true
See original GitHub issueHi. I was doing fine with my react native app. I made some changes to make my release apk smaller in size which were removing intel abi’s from the output and enabling proguard. Everything was fine until I added some proguard rules to make it work with some library. But suddenly, the app installs but when running it crashes. This happens only in release mode and it stops when proguard is off! By the way it use to work a couple of days I don’t know what happened that it suddenly crashes on start! This is the error by the way:

Why is this happening?? I really can’t understant why should it work for a few days and then stop working?! I have tried to clean and delete all caches for android but again it did not work!

Ok I got it working. I first tried to reinstall Android studio but it did not work. I then cleaned all my files with
git clean -f -d -X
and rebuilt the project and now it works!P.S. I had tried
cd android && ./gradlew clean
but it did not work.Thanks for your help. I think that rule is only for enabling hermes engine and not my issue. Anyways, thanks
