Demucs take so long!

Everything is fine when I use tasnet or tasnet_extra , it takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete a song. When I use light or light_extra it takes arround 5 minutes. But the real pain comes when I use demucs or demucs_ extra, my PC get stuck for like 20 minutes, then it pops a black screen with only the cursor, after that it comes back to the anaconda prompt and do nothing for another 20 minutes, at the end, the whole process of separating takes 6 to 7 HOURS. What am I doing wrong?

BTW: I only get to work it fine once, when it takes 10 minutes to complete the song, but I do the exact same thing to other songs and it still takes so long

@jesusgj64 , indeed I still think this could be the RAM, maybe when you run it you could also have the task manager to monitor RAM usage per applications and see if it gets dangerously close to the 4GB limit. Also, like Linux, Windows now has memory pagging, it means that if you run out of RAM, it will start using a file on your hard drive to extend memory, but of course this would be painfully slow. I’m suspecting that this is the reason for your problem.

It still could be a ram problem. I have tried to use it today and it uses up something like 3gb of ram. The disk activity and CPU usage could be what is locking your pc up.
