How to setup DataSourceSettings for BigQuery

I have a question: is there a way through the UI to setup the DataSourceSettings that are used so that I don’t need to change the default SQL queries?
After reading the source code it seems there is an option to change the column names instead of rewriting the SQL statement, but I can’t find out how.
