I won’t bother you with the screenshot because it’s in Finnish 😃, no idea what the original is but it translates to “disable notifications”. Anyway I clicked that and then was presented a choice of options what notifications to disable, one of which was the persistent connection and the icon is gone now. Thanks!

Yea so this comes down to different terminology used by different manufacturers. On a Pixel its minimize on a Samsung device its silence and then minimize. On OnePlus I am not sure what terminology they use but it should be offered there. If you want to share a screenshot I can take an educated guess 😃

I do have an option to “disable notification” but I’m not sure that’s the one (doesn’t sound like it – would that disable notifications from HA?

As long as you are changing the Persistent Connection notification channel it will only impact that particular notification. But keep in mind there is a overall toggle to disable notifications from the app itself which is not what we want to do here 😃

The proper steps would be something like Android Settings > Notifications > Apps > Home Assistant > Notification > Persistent Connection > Silent/Minimize or whatever else they decided to call it

give or take a step but the idea is to drill down to the channel itself 😃
