Fritz Repeater keeps disconnecting
See original GitHub issueThe problem
I use the fritz integration to include my AVM Fritz! Repeater 1200
. Since maybe 2-3 weeks the device is disconnecting after some time saying “At least one of your integrations requires reconfiguration to continue functioning.”.
When doing so and providing username/password again, it fails to connect.

When looking at the message I noticed that the wrong IP is used. All my addresses use 192.168.1.x
but fritz tries to connect via 192.168.178.x
.

I removed the device and readied it with the correct IP, but it now fails again after some time.

I can confirm this issue, it keeps happening for me too. My network has been 10.0.x.x since long before i started using HA and after it has been working for a while it suddenly starts to insist that the Fritz repeater is at 192.168.178.2.
Somewhere in the code there must be this hardcoded IP address that keeps popping up every few weeks.
Where is the configuration file for this, so I can try to make it connect again without removing the device and waiting for a fresh detection, until this is finally fixed?
@prof7bit please open an own PR since your screenshot shows issue with the Fritz!SMartHome (
fritzbox
) integration, but not the Fritz!Tools (fritz
)
