Motion Sensor Integration - Inconsistent Behavior

See original GitHub issue

The problem

I have the Yo-Link Home Assistant integration. I have two YoLink motion sensors. I have the sensors set up so that a green LED on the front of each sensor flashes green when motion is detected. They are also visible in the yolink phone app. I rely upon their change in state (to “motion detected”) to launch a variety of actions within home assistant. One of the actions in home assistant is to call a service to start a timer when motion is detected. Intermittently, when motion is detected (the sensor flashes green as configured - and the yolink app immediately shows “motion detected”), the state for that sensor remains as “clear”. Additionally, the state of the yolink Motion sensor in Home Assistant will sometimes remain as “motion detected” when it in fact changes to “motion not detected” in the yolink app. This is causing properly written related automations to fail because nothing happens in home assistant - even though there is a change in the yolink app of the state of the motion sensor (but not in the home assistant state of the same sensor). Unfortunately for this kind of an issue there are no related logs - because nothing happens in Home Assistant!

I think I am having the same issue, but it’s not just motion sensors but also door sensors. None are reporting state to HA. In the Yolink app everything is good.
