2. If you are trying to install a modified apk, did you resign it?
3. Are you using the latest apktool version?

Same issue here (Could not extract resource: /prebuilt/aapt/linux/aapt) with another app but same environment.

With the -r option the re-compiling works. But modifying resources would be nice 😉

I can’t trust this report. That version is old, dirty and filled with errors that have since been fixed. Not sure what is going on there, but since not an official binary. I don’t want to expend energy on triage.
