Roadmap

A lot of stuff is overdue on this project. But as first priority I want to take steps that simplify the maintainer job and allow to develop new features faster:

• Update deps
• Improved build demo/release scripts
• Publish demo with CI
• strict: true in tsconfig.json
• ESLint + pluggings
• Remove lodash
• Use GraphQLSchema instead of custom JSON based schema https://github.com/IvanGoncharov/graphql-voyager/blob/master/src/introspection/introspection.ts
• Inline CSS in JS

I’d like to make a few suggestions and also help out:

• Switch to functional React components
• For ESlint, choose a specific rule set (AirBNB?)
• Add Jest or other test suite
• Compile with SWC
• Add Joi for prop validation and error handling

Remove lodash

I’d argue against removing lodash only because it’s so lightweight and convenient when importing specific modules instead of the entire library. But that’s personal preference 😃

I think with some architecture changes and package.json script updates, we wouldn’t need to move the demo and website out, but I also see the merits in separating them.

Speeding up would be welcomed too. My schema taks Rendering Graph: 36624.31005859375 ms to load
