Matrix Notifications faile with M_UNRECOGNIZED

Description
Setting up matrix notifications with a valid access token and an existing room id fails with errode: M_UNRECOGNIZED.
It’s hard to debug this issue as the request is not shown.

I found this issue because I had the same issue. In the end my mistake was that I pasted the homeserver url with a trailing slash. Removing the slash fixed the call for me.
