I have the same issue with a Windows scaling of 125%.
Changing the scale to 100% gives a normal behaviour. But a better way is to override the high DPI scaling for Mark Text only.
The downside: the text gets blurry. So a fix in Mark Text would be great.
High DPI scaling also affects the search function (see #2424).

Override the high DPI scaling for MarkText only does fix the problem, but after that the text and interface become quite blurry.
