PowerToys will not open when Settings is clicked

Steps to reproduce

After running PowerToys as an administrator, click settings in the right click menu in the Taskbar menu.

✔️ Expected Behavior

The settings menu to open.

❌ Actual Behavior

Nothing happens. When looking at Event Viewer, this error occurs:

Message: A JSON parsing exception occurred in [C:\Program Files\PowerToys\Settings\PowerToys.Settings.runtimeconfig.json]: * Line 1, Column 2 Syntax error: Malformed token
Invalid runtimeconfig.json [C:\Program Files\PowerToys\Settings\PowerToys.Settings.runtimeconfig.json] [C:\Program Files\PowerToys\Settings\PowerToys.Settings.runtimeconfig.dev.json]

Attached is the .zip file created by the Bug Report feature on PowerToys.

I have tried uninstalling PowerToys using the apps menu, however it pops up with the error message “The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.”

mentioning that it can’t find the “PowerToysSetup-0.49.0x64.msi” file.

That seems to have fixed it! I managed to uninstall it, and install the newest update, and everything seems to be running smoothly. Thank you for the help, now I can go back to enjoying having PowerToys Run as my search system.
