[MiHome] Aqara Water Leak sensor support broken?

See original GitHub issue

Expected Behavior

Pairing and using Aqara Water Leak sensors should work with mihome binding 2.2.0 (#2657)

Current Behavior

I cant add them to openhab. I use the offline method described here: http://docs.openhab.org/addons/bindings/mihome/readme.html. I changed the log level of the binding to DEBUG and received the following logs while pairing:

2017-10-13 18:24:35.811 [DEBUG] [.mihome.internal.socket.XiaomiSocket] - Received Datagram from 192.168.1.111:4321 on Port 9898
2017-10-13 18:24:35.820 [DEBUG] [discovery.XiaomiItemDiscoveryService] - Unknown discovered model:
2017-10-13 18:24:36.576 [DEBUG] [.mihome.internal.socket.XiaomiSocket] - Received Datagram from 192.168.1.111:4321 on Port 9898
2017-10-13 18:24:36.583 [DEBUG] [discovery.XiaomiItemDiscoveryService] - Unknown discovered model:

Maybe the model number has changed?

Possible Solution

Dont know 😕

Your Environment

  • org.openhab.binding.mihome 2.2.0.201709021729
  • openhab 2
  • Xiaomi Gateway v2
  • A lot of non aqara devices bound to the gateway which works just fine 😃

Yes, Sir! 👍

After a firmware update it shows "model":"sensor_wleak.aq1" and it works as expected!

Thank you very much!

if there is no log entry reporting the sensed water, it might really be a gateway problem.
