Look through docs to make sure everything is up to date, etc. Add statement on main page about 2.1.1 update.
Release listserv (thinking of emailing our core people with the updates since many folks don’t use github directly. would be good to announce we now have bias reduction, etc. Then will offer a link to sign up for a listserv in the future where we clarify releases in more detail. Can add that link to the docs/README). NOTE: Might just have a blurb on the docs + pangeo discourse.
Write pangeo blog post on release and call for collaborators (Ryan requested this and invited Riley as Medium poster… so we can talk about this and write up a draft)

See https://github.com/bradyrx/climpred_workshop. This needs to be updated to sync with the new version. It breaks with the current version anyways I think. But this can be done at any point pre or post release since it’s not involved in the release itself.

I just removed #475 from the list as well. This list keeps growing and that one doesn’t do anything for the user – it’s just internal. I think the list as is will be plenty good for a release.
