That makes sense. It is likely that you updated to one of the more recent versions of the plugin recently. The rule is working fine, but some logic was getting run before the rule got applied, so it hit the error you are seeing. This should be fixed on master in the next couple of days. It will likely be released next week since there have not been a lot of changes this week, and I don’t have a lot of time to work on it this weekend.
The changes have been merged into master. Please let us know if the next release or master does not fix your issue. Sorry for the inconvenience that this bug may have caused.
If you would like to manually install master, you can follow the steps mentioned here: https://github.com/platers/obsidian-linter#manual-installation Otherwise you may need to wait for the next release or use a plugin to pull master for you for the plugin (I think this may exist, but I may be misremembering).
