Not working in Edge?
See original GitHub issueHi. I’m getting unexpected intersectionRatio values in Edge in an app I’m building and came here to check if someone else had the same issue. I then tried your storybook examples in Edge and looks like only the Thresholds and Margin examples seem to be working.
Here’s a video with the versions used: https://d.pr/v/kgwVnn
In my app, the issue is intersectionRatio coming back as 1 for a 1px height element that is not within the viewport.

@andrefgneves I got a machine at the office running Edge 16 and locally it’s also buggy for me within the iframe, unless I set some negative rootMargin, e.g.:
-12px 0px.Someone opened an issue for the Edge’s team: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/issues/17319665/
To me they seem related since the
intersectionRatioentries contain the right values, but theisIntersectingcalculation is off. Also, previous Edge versions do not contain this bug.I’m sorry, but there’s nothing I can do to circumvent this issue, so I recommend you include the polyfill for Edge16 for now, until they resolve the issue.
Yeah, it does look like an Edge bug, and I understand there’s not much you can do. I’ll follow your recommendation. Thank you.
