As I said unfortunately we’re unable to help out with these things at the moment - we have not started supporting text rendering, and rendering text using path strings is not recommended due to their size (inefficient). You should have some patience and wait for the super nice text apis that will be coming later 😃 😃
I think you chose a good solution when you to started with a separate project to test out RN Skia - the project cloned directly from this repo is for library development and can be a bit complex and daunting as a starting point.
About the errors you are seeing I don’t know, I suggest you just ignore them for now since this is still an alpha release and I know we’ve done some things with the interfaces that might help - always try out the latest releases in the repo.
Are the features offered at https://shopify.github.io/react-native-skia/docs/text/fonts enough? Let us know if you are missing a specific text api.
