Possible polyfill causing Safari to bomb when uploading large files
See original GitHub issueVersion
2.6.14
Reproduction link
https://github.com/ffxsam/repro-safari-upload/
Steps to reproduce
- Clone repro and install dependencies
- Alter code to point to an AWS S3 bucket
- run
yarn serve
- Open latest Safari
- Upload a large file (at least 50MB)
What is expected?
File should upload without issue.
What is actually happening?
Safari page crashes with message “This webpage was reloaded because a problem occurred.”
Here’s the original issue I reported with AWS: https://github.com/aws/aws-sdk-js-v3/issues/2365 (requires patience, it’s a long and winding road!)
And AWS staff eventually determined that this issue only occurs when using Vue (works fine in React), so their theory is that Vue has some sort of polyfill that’s causing issues. We’d appreciate any help pinpointing this issue!

@LinusBorg @KaelWD @sodatea Does anyone on the team have time to look into this?
I know the team is busy, but I wanted to follow up to see if anyone’s looked into this yet. Thanks!
