How did you install youtube-dl? OS where this is encountered? Have you granted write privileges to yt-dl ? It needs to access, download and save locally latest youtube-dl embedded player (js_b2ff0586_*.json) in order to produce stream URLs… Is your firewall/Anti-Virus suite blocking access to youtube APIs? Is the video itself accessible in a browser?
