Release Roadmap
See original GitHub issueI would like to ask about the planned release roadmap. At the moment there is no published version of ControlsFX that provides “very good” support for Java11+.
The latest published release candidate is 11.0.0-RC2
which was published back in March. Having said that, unfortunately it does not work for TableFilter due to https://github.com/controlsfx/controlsfx/issues/1135. The bug has been fixed in the meanwhile.
Can you share any plans? Thanks!

I have pushed some commits which further simplifies the release process. The earlier process had some shortcomings and used to create split repository issue when a release was performed via Travis CI. Now, a maintainer can easily publish a release by pushing a tag to the repository. Although, auto closing of the staged repository is still a manually task (for the time being).
I just published ControlsFX 8.40.16 and 11.0.1.
@dlemmermann’s release suggestion sounds good to me. Now that the release process is automated, we should be able to release frequently.
Actually I think that a more fine-grained release cycle will make everybody’s life a whole lot easier. If a new control gets added and is complete, why not create a new release for it. Why wait half a year? If you have a set of bug fixes, why not create a bug fix release? ControlsFX is not a major platform like JavaFX or Java.
