Double click to open with default program

See original GitHub issue

Description

The old client I often used to have an overview of the files I worked on in a large project. By quickly switching to GH Desktop and double clicking on the file I was able to jump to the file in the editor. The extra click to open the context menu makes this a lot slower and the client unsuitable for this workflow.

Would ❤️ to see this double-click action being introduced in the new client.

Now I’m curious of what the difference was and how double-clicking is any different from Right click -> Open with Default Program

May I say that there is a difference or even bigger than you say. Double click is way more easy than Right click -> Move your mouse pointer carefully to Open with Default Program -> Click

This missing feature kept me migrating from the old app for months!!! So pretty please with sugar and cherry on top, can we at least have a chance to consider to opt-in this feature?

I assume that some people will get bothered with this feature. (cuz they tend to double click every thing every time unconsciously) So I may suggest that it would be great to be able to choose the behavior.

I will be pleased if I could have a chance to contribute on this work.
