merge financial.json and financial_advisor.json?

Currently we have financial.json and financial_advisor.json in the index. Is there a meaningful difference between those or can they be merged? And what would be the preferred tag?

I added this wiki page describing the tag as it’s currently used. My bad for overlooking that step when adding the NSI entry originally.

office=financial wiki guidance sounds like non-customer-facing financial offices. (Wall Street stuff? I do not know) There is no wiki tag for office=financial_advisor or guidance on office itself.

Right, I do think it’s useful to distinguish between financial advisors’ retail storefronts and non-retail financial offices (e.g., a bank headquarters or stock trading firm), just as that page distinguishes amenity=bank, and just as office=tax_advisor is another kind of retail financial office. The office page has encouraged the coining of new values since the beginning, though financial_advisor was already in use when I added Edward Jones to the index. I was unaware of amenity=financial_advice, which has apparently always been less common.
