Subtitles not working properly (region and timing)

What version of Shaka Player are you using? Latest (2.5.5) have the issue as well

Can you reproduce the issue with the latest code from master? Yes

Are you using the demo app or your own custom app? Custom app

If custom app, can you reproduce the issue using our demo app? Yes

What browser and OS are you using? Chrome os (via caf chromecast but also happening on OSX/chrome)

For embedded devices (smart TVs, etc.), what model and firmware version are you using? CAF on chromecast

What are the manifest and license server URIs? Will be sent by email, including this issue number

What did you do? Play, enable subtitles to italiano, watch at 00:13:11, the subtitles are mixed up and some appears late and for not enough time. Especially the following sentences: “Philippe qui buzzait depuis tout à l’heure car il avait la bonne réponse.”

What did you expect to happen? The subtitles to be readable properly

What actually happened? It seems the region nor the timing are handled correctly. Working with DashJS though.

Yeah, it definitely looks like something is going wrong. I’ll look into it.
