Element Desktop Nightly exits itself after a while
See original GitHub issueSteps to reproduce
- Install the AUR package
element-desktop-nightly-bin
- Launch Element-Nightly
Outcome
What did you expect?
Not exiting by itself
What happened instead?
It exits by itself, though if /opt/Element-Nightly/element-desktop-nightly
is launched instead of /usr/bin/element-desktop-nightly
then it won’t exit by itself
I have configured Element-Nightly to launch on startup (launching /usr/bin/element-desktop-nightly
), and it doesn’t exit by itself unless if I exit and re-open it
Operating system
Arch Linux
Application version
2022012601
How did you install the app?

I’m actually seeing crashes on the most recent element-nightly again, which is a bit spooky. Will try to scrape together some debug logs.
This might be a better issue for the AUR package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/element-desktop-nightly-bin/ than here.
