compiletime object editing is not generating one ability; no errors shown to user

I have objediting in my map, but some objects are preexisting in the source archive.

I added one ability today, but the ability is not generated in the map.

First of all the whole build folder should be in gitignore.

Why?

Secondly no, I’m not into cloning, checking out and building your project to investigate some obscure error solely encountered by you that might be related to your weird stdlib1 setup and/or manual config as previous issues.

  • You don’t need to clone since it’s in the link (there’s one value for not gitignoring them)
  • Why do you think this error is solely encountered by me?
  • I don’t use stdlib1 anymore, I migrated today
  • What manual config are you concerned about?

Yet you link the w3u? I don’t understand. Is it in the file or not?

I linked to w3u to show an example of weirdness using objediting when your map archive has modifid default objects.

Here in the w3a you can observe no AF00: https://github.com/Cokemonkey11/the-gorge/blob/faulty_objediting/_build/objectEditingOutput/WurstExportedObjects_w3a.wurst.txt

As I also previously mentioned, I don’t see any reason for that since they are in different tables and should be checked for collision.

Ok, I think I might have forgotten that.

If you see invalid chars in vscode you might actually have an encoding issue.

  • I think we previously saw some warnings in LinkedList, right? I don’t see any encoding problems there.
  • Now that I replaced all the modified original-units, I no longer see any encoding problems in the w3u either.
